She pointed out that inclement weather can exacerbate these issues, turning already vulnerable roads into dangerous corridors.

In her second letter, Edmond addressed the strain placed on emergency responders in the region. “Northern Ontario’s first responders show up every time they are called. They deserve leadership that shows up for them — before the next siren, before the next call, before the next family is shattered,” she stated.
