Air Canada Celebrates “Zootopia 2” with Special Aircraft Livery
Air Canada has launched a new aircraft livery themed around Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming film, Zootopia 2, set to hit theaters on November 26, 2023. The airline has adorned one of its Airbus A220-300 aircraft, known as Fin 138, with vibrant imagery from the animated feature, which serves as a sequel to the beloved 2016 original.
This initiative marks the third Disney-themed livery introduced by Air Canada. The airline previously showcased similar designs for the films Turning Red and Wish, reflecting its ongoing partnership with Disney. The new livery will see Fin 138 flying across various destinations within Air Canada’s North American network.
Exciting Promotions for Aeroplan Members
As part of the promotion surrounding the film’s release, Air Canada is offering Aeroplan members the opportunity to win one of two all-inclusive vacation packages to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Each package accommodates up to four people and includes a five-night stay at the resort.
Andy Shibata, Vice President of Brand at Air Canada, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This special livery is an exciting addition to our broader Disney relationship. It reminds us that travel, like storytelling, is about imagination, connection, and a little bit of magic.”
Flight Plans and Aircraft Details
Fin 138 will serve a variety of high-profile routes, including flights to Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York LaGuardia, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. Since its delivery less than three months ago, the aircraft has already completed several flights, including a recent roundtrip from Montreal to Nassau.
Air Canada’s A220 fleet has been operational since December 2019, with the airline being the first North American operator of the aircraft. The A220-300s are configured with two cabin classes, accommodating up to 137 passengers: 12 in business class and 125 in economy. Currently, Air Canada operates the world’s fifth-largest A220-300 fleet, having secured a total of 65 aircraft from Airbus.
As Air Canada continues to innovate in its fleet and promotional strategies, passengers can look forward to a unique flying experience that combines travel with the magic of Disney storytelling.
