Motorcyclist in Critical Condition After Georgina Collision

A 32-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition following a serious three-vehicle collision in Georgina, Ontario, on March 15, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 08:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ravenshoe Road and Kennedy Road. According to the York Regional Police, the motorcyclist was involved in a crash that also included a dark grey SUV and a silver pickup truck.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a severely damaged black motorcycle in a ditch. The rider was located nearby, suffering from extensive injuries. “The rider was found nearby suffering from serious injuries,” stated Constable Lisa Moskaluk. Fortunately, the occupants of the SUV and the pickup truck reported no serious injuries.

Initial investigations revealed that both the motorcycle and the SUV were traveling westbound on Ravenshoe Road when the motorcycle struck the rear of the SUV. This collision caused the SUV to veer into the eastbound lanes, resulting in a collision with the pickup truck. The specifics of how the motorcycle struck the SUV remain under investigation.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Toronto, where he is currently in a life-threatening condition. Authorities are actively seeking further information regarding the incident. “Investigators are appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward,” said Constable Moskaluk.
