Belleville Honors Three Employees for Decades of Service
The City of Belleville recently celebrated the retirements of three esteemed employees from its Transportation & Operations Services. Their collective dedication has significantly contributed to the safety and mobility of the community over several decades.
Doris Venderwilp has retired after 17 years of service as a Crossing Guard, ensuring the safe passage of children to and from school. Boyd McDonnell and Dave Robinson each concluded their careers after an impressive 35 years in their respective roles as a Transit Foreperson Mechanic and Loader Operator. Together, these three individuals represent an extraordinary 87 years of service to the city and its residents.
The contributions of Venderwilp, McDonnell, and Robinson have been vital in maintaining the safety of Belleville’s roads and supporting the daily operations of the community. Their professionalism and reliability have not only fostered a secure environment for children commuting to school, but also ensured efficient public transit and operations.
In recognition of their remarkable careers, the City of Belleville expressed its deep gratitude for their years of dedicated service. Officials highlighted the lasting impact these employees have made on the community, emphasizing their commitment to excellence in their roles.
