Skate. Launches in Early Access, Revolutionizing Skateboarding Gaming

Electronic Arts Inc. and Full Circle have officially launched Skate., the latest installment in the iconic skateboarding franchise, into Early Access today. Available for players on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App, this free-to-play game invites both experienced skaters and newcomers to immerse themselves in its vibrant world.
Early Access is only the beginning, as the developers plan to introduce continuous updates and new content to enhance the gaming experience. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, players can explore a vast, dynamic open world designed for multiplayer engagement. The game features four distinct neighborhoods, each with unique atmospheres, terrains, and iconic skate spots. From rooftops and canals to plazas and parks, players have a plethora of environments to showcase their creativity and style.
Dynamic Gameplay and Community Engagement
In a bid to capture the essence of the game, Electronic Arts released a live-action trailer titled “Drop In.” This visually striking video transforms a simple DIY skate video into an imaginative journey through San Vansterdam. It reflects the game’s spirit, where anyone can skate anything, and unexpected riders may appear at any moment, turning the city into a limitless canvas for remarkable tricks.
The beloved Flick-it control system makes a return in Skate., now enhanced for greater precision and deeper gameplay. New off-board movement mechanics allow players to climb higher, drop lower, and discover secret skate spots throughout the city. The combination of these features is designed to offer players an enriched experience, encouraging exploration and self-expression.
Skate. is now available for free, with optional cosmetic purchases for those looking to customize their experience. Players also have the option to purchase the Founder’s Pack or the Founder’s Deluxe Pack to demonstrate their early support for the game.
As the community begins to grow, the developers are committed to shaping the game alongside its players, ensuring that Skate. remains a compelling choice for skateboarding enthusiasts and gamers alike.
