The upcoming Lotto Max draw scheduled for Friday will feature a staggering $70 million jackpot, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). In addition to the jackpot, there are an estimated ten Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each available, making this draw particularly enticing for ticket holders across Ontario.

The lottery jackpot has been accumulating since the last draw on October 28, 2023, and this marks the first time it has reached the $70 million threshold since mid-summer. The excitement surrounding the draw is palpable, especially following recent wins in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Recent results from Tuesday’s draw revealed several significant payouts. A Maxmillions ticket worth $333,333.40 was sold in Hamilton, contributing to the growing excitement. This jackpot was shared among three tickets, with additional winning tickets sold in Quebec and Western Canada. Furthermore, a resident of Scarborough won the second prize, amounting to $239,318.70. The draw also saw two tickets for the $1 million Encore prize sold, one online via OLG.ca and the other at a retailer in Ottawa.

As participants eagerly await the Friday draw, OLG encourages everyone to check their tickets from the previous draw. It is not uncommon for winning tickets to be tucked away in forgotten places, such as coat pockets or glove compartments.

### Notable Wins in 2025

This year has been particularly lucrative for Ontario lottery players. So far in 2025, six Lotto Max jackpots have been won in the province, including a $60 million prize from the draw on January 21. That ticket was purchased in Etobicoke and was shared among five construction workers from the GTA.

Notably, an 81-year-old Order of Canada recipient from Willowdale claimed a $25 million jackpot shortly after. Additionally, two retirees won substantial amounts, with one from Oshawa taking home $40 million, while another from Newmarket won $65 million. The excitement reached new heights when a resident of Kingston won the largest prize in Ontario’s lottery history.

With the next draw rapidly approaching, many are hopeful they will join the ranks of these fortunate winners. As the countdown continues, purchasing a ticket could be the first step toward a life-changing win.
