Wind Storm Disrupts Power Supply for Thousands in Halifax Area
A powerful wind storm swept through the Halifax area on the evening of March 15, 2024, resulting in widespread power outages affecting thousands of residents. By 18:00, approximately 30,000 customers of Nova Scotia Power experienced disruptions in their electricity service, with the majority of outages concentrated in Halifax.
