ION Train Service Suspended for Maintenance on August 24
Transit riders should prepare for changes in service on the morning of August 24, 2023. The ION train service will be suspended between Conestoga Station and Fairway Station due to planned maintenance. The suspension will remain in effect until 1 p.m., requiring passengers to use shuttle buses as an alternative.
According to Grand River Transit, the shuttle buses will operate every 15 minutes, stopping at all ION stations along the route. Passengers can expect to be picked up at or near the designated ION stations. For specific locations of shuttle stops, riders are encouraged to visit the Grand River Transit website.
Regular ION service is scheduled to resume around 1 p.m., allowing passengers to return to their usual transit options. Riders are advised to plan their travel accordingly and to allow extra time for their journeys during this period of service interruption.
