rabble Nominated for ‘Best Website’ at Canadian Online Publishing Awards
rabble has received its fourth nomination for the “Best Website” category at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA). The awards, which recognize excellence in digital content creation, have seen rabble nominated in various formats since 2021. In that inaugural year, rabble won silver for the Best Community News Website. The following year, the platform secured another silver medal, this time in the Best News/Sports Site category. For the 2024 awards, rabble again achieved silver in the same category.
Commitment to Quality Journalism
In response to this latest nomination, rabble’s editor, Nick Seebruch, expressed pride in the recognition. “This year’s nomination shows rabble.ca’s commitment to high quality, daily journalism across multiple different media,” he remarked. Seebruch highlighted the platform’s diverse offerings, which include daily news articles, weekly podcasts, and the live webinar series “Off the Hill.” His comments underscore the team’s dedication to delivering independent and progressive news content.
rabble also expressed appreciation for the support it receives from its community. The organization noted that the production of independent, progressive news content relies heavily on its dedicated readers, supporters, and donors. As part of their ongoing fundraising efforts, rabble encourages contributions to sustain its operations. Visitors can donate at rabble.ca/donate.
About the Canadian Online Publishing Awards
The COPAs were established in 2009 as an industry showcase for the best digital content creators in the magazine and newspaper sectors. Over the past thirteen years, it has grown to become Canada’s largest Digital Publishing Awards Program. The awards encompass four divisions: Academic, B2B, B2C, and News/Sports, with a commitment to reflecting Canada’s multicultural diversity.
As rabble continues to strive for excellence in journalism, it remains grateful for the engagement of its audience. “Whether it be a one-time donation or a small monthly contribution, your support is critical to keep rabble writers producing the work you’ve come to rely on as a part of a healthy media diet,” Seebruch added. The organization looks forward to celebrating the achievements of all nominees during this year’s COPAs.
