Streator Public Library Unveils Exciting Program Schedule for December

The Streator Public Library is set to host an engaging week of programs from December 8 to December 13, 2023. Families and individuals of all ages can participate in a variety of activities aimed at fostering creativity, learning, and community engagement. Highlights include a scavenger hunt, themed around ornaments, and a Lego Club for children, with parental supervision required for the Lego activities.

Daily Program Schedule

Each day offers unique opportunities for participation. On Monday, the library will kick off the week with “Make It: TikTok for Teens,” scheduled from 17:00 to 18:00. This session will focus on teaching safe video creation techniques for younger audiences.

On Tuesday, adults can join the Library Book Club from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning. In the afternoon, there will be an “Afternoon Watercolor” class for those aged 10 and up, running from 16:30 to 17:30. Additionally, “Storytime: Holidays Around the World” will take place for young children from 18:00 to 18:30.

Wednesday will feature “Game Time” for teens from 15:00 to 16:00, followed by a “Murder Mystery Meetup” for both teens and adults from 18:00 to 19:00.

On Thursday, the “Mother Goose Club” will entertain toddlers from 11:00 to 11:30. Later in the day, there will be a “Snap Circuits” session for ages 8 and up from 16:30 to 17:30, along with an evening acrylic painting class for children from 18:00 to 19:00.

Friday’s offerings include “Paw Patrol Playtime” for children from 15:30 to 16:30, which will feature stories, coloring activities, and short videos.

The program week will conclude on Saturday with two events: an “iPhone Tech Tutorial” for adults from 11:00 to 12:00, and a “Dice Bag Sewing” workshop for teens and adults from 13:00 to 14:00.
