SWAT Team Responds to Armed Barricade Situation in Mokena

Early on October 25, 2023, deputies from the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence incident involving an armed individual barricaded inside a residence in Mokena, Illinois. The situation unfolded in the 18700 block of Marjorie Parkway, where law enforcement learned that the victim and her three children had safely exited the home prior to their arrival.

Upon reaching the scene, deputies were informed that the suspect had made violent threats and was potentially armed. In response to these threats, law enforcement established a secure perimeter around the area and issued a reverse 911 alert to residents within a two-block radius, instructing them to remain indoors for their safety.
