Lotto Max Jackpot Remains Unclaimed as Draw Nears $123 Million
The $80 million Lotto Max jackpot remains unclaimed after three consecutive draws, leaving participants eagerly awaiting the next draw. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced that the upcoming draw on December 23, 2023, will see the jackpot increase to an estimated $123 million. This includes 43 Maxmillions prizes, each valued at $1 million.
OLG officials noted that while the top prize has yet to be won, there has been significant activity in the Maxmillions category. “I realize that everyone is hoping to hear that the $80 Lotto Max million jackpot has been won and hopefully, was won in Ontario,” OLG officials stated in an update. They highlighted that Ontario has performed particularly well in terms of Maxmillions wins.
Maxmillions Winners in Ontario
According to OLG, two winning Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million each were sold in Mississauga. Additionally, single tickets sold in Niagara Falls and Windsor also claimed $1 million prizes. Further, several Maxmillions prizes were shared between Ontario and ticket holders from other provinces.
In the Kawartha Lakes area, a $500,000 Maxmillions prize was split with a ticket sold in Atlantic Canada. Another $500,000 prize was shared between ticket holders in Thunder Bay and York Region. Notably, a Maxmillions prize of $333,333.40 was divided among three tickets purchased in Mississauga, Oshawa, and York Region.
Encore Wins Add to Ontario’s Success
The excitement doesn’t end with Maxmillions. Encore prizes were also claimed across Ontario, including two winning tickets worth $100,000 each sold in Sarnia and Cambridge. “There are life-changing prizes won all across the province after last night’s draw,” OLG remarked, emphasizing the widespread impact of the lottery.
As players prepare for the next draw, the anticipation continues to build around the unclaimed $80 million jackpot. Since Lotto Max was introduced in 2009, Ontario players have collectively won more than $9.5 billion, which includes 117 jackpot wins and 957 Maxmillions prizes throughout the province.
Tickets for Lotto Max are available for $5 per play, with draws held every Tuesday and Friday, making it a popular choice for hopeful participants across the region. As the next draw approaches, many will be watching closely, eager to see if the jackpot will finally be claimed.
