Demonschool Release Date Delayed to November 2025

Ysbryd Games has announced a delay in the release of its anticipated RPG, Demonschool, which is now scheduled to launch on November 19, 2025. The game, initially set for a September 3 release, draws inspiration from beloved titles such as Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, as well as classic Italian horror cinema.
The decision to push back the release date was not made lightly. In a statement, Ysbryd Games noted the crowded gaming calendar in September, particularly pointing out that the much-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to release just one day after Demonschool’s original launch date. Brian Kwek, a representative from Ysbryd Games, emphasized the importance of visibility for Demonschool, stating, “Our main goal is to gain visibility for Demonschool.”
Ysbryd Games, known for titles such as WORLD OF HORROR and VA-11 HALL-A, reassured fans that this will be the final delay. The development team at Necrosoft Games has already distributed Steam keys to reviewers and was prepared to launch in September. However, the additional time will enable the developers to enhance the gaming experience significantly. Features originally intended for post-launch updates, including additional endings and new minigames, will now be available at launch.
Kwek added, “Between now and November, we’ll continue polishing the game so players get the best version possible.” While the delay may disappoint some fans, this strategic decision aims to ensure that Demonschool has its own spotlight within a fiercely competitive indie game market.
Demonschool follows the story of Faye and her eclectic team of demon hunters as they balance student life with the challenges posed by otherworldly threats. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X and S. It will be priced at $24.99 upon release.
This delay highlights the ongoing challenges faced by game developers as they navigate an ever-evolving industry landscape while striving to deliver quality content to players. As the new release date approaches, fans can look forward to a more refined version of Demonschool that promises to deliver an engaging and complete gaming experience.
