Habitat for Humanity Launches Raffle for Playhouse and Shed

Habitat for Humanity of Ogle County has announced an exciting opportunity for local families to win a hand-crafted playhouse and a storage shed through a raffle initiative. The playhouse, measuring 6 feet by 10 feet, has been built by students from Oregon High School’s FFA Ag Construction class. In a new addition this year, an 8-foot by 10-foot storage shed, crafted by Byron High School’s Construction Class, will also be available in the raffle.
Both projects reflect the dedication and skill of the students, who have spent the school year learning construction techniques while contributing to a charitable cause. The two high schools have generously donated these items to help Habitat for Humanity raise funds to purchase building materials for future projects.
Raffle tickets are currently being sold at various locations and through the Habitat for Humanity website at habitatoglecounty.org. A total of 500 tickets will be available for each raffle, priced at $10 each or three for $25. The winning ticket for the playhouse raffle will be drawn on September 19, 2023, during the Oregon High School homecoming game, while the winning ticket for the shed raffle will be drawn on October 17, 2023, the evening of the Byron High School homecoming game.
For more details on the raffles, interested parties can visit the Habitat for Humanity website, follow their Facebook page, or contact Sheri Anspaugh at [email protected].
