Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Death in Edmonton

An investigation is currently underway regarding the suspicious death of an 82-year-old man in south Edmonton. On March 15, 2024, at approximately 08:25, police received a report concerning a man in distress found in a backyard near the intersection of 104 Street and 85 Avenue. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended to the individual and subsequently transported him to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Edmonton Police Service has confirmed that an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death. While the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, investigators are treating the case with urgency.
