BOE Unveils High-Performance LCD Display for Budget Smartphones

BOE has launched its new IPS LCD-based display called “ADS Pro,” designed to elevate features typically found in high-end smartphones to more affordable devices. This innovative display boasts impressive specifications, including a peak brightness of 1,500 nits and a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz, making it particularly appealing for budget-conscious consumers.
The ADS Pro display measures 6.74 inches and offers a sharp 1.5K resolution, which translates to approximately 443 pixels per inch (ppi). This high resolution, combined with the display’s refresh rate options of 120Hz and 144Hz, ensures smoother scrolling and gaming experiences compared to many budget smartphones that usually feature a maximum of 90Hz.
Enhanced Efficiency and Performance
One of the standout features of the ADS Pro display is its remarkable brightness capabilities. Reaching a peak brightness of 1,500 nits allows for excellent visibility in direct sunlight, a common drawback for traditional IPS LCDs when compared to OLED technology.
