Construction Work on Wellington Main St to Impact Traffic Oct 6-9

Construction work on watermain and sanitary sewer connections will take place at 192 Wellington Main St from October 6 to October 9, 2023. The work is scheduled to begin each day at approximately 07:00 and conclude by 19:00. During this period, traffic in the vicinity will be intermittently reduced to one lane for both east-bound and west-bound vehicles, including overnight periods.
The construction is part of a planned upgrade to the area’s infrastructure. As a result, motorists are advised to exercise caution when driving near the construction site. Traffic control measures will be implemented to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure safety for both drivers and workers.
Heavy equipment will be present, which may limit visibility and contribute to elevated noise levels. Authorities recommend that drivers avoid the construction zone where possible and consider using alternate routes to minimize delays.
Local officials urge residents and commuters to stay informed about the construction timeline and any potential impacts on their travel plans. The cooperation of the community is appreciated as this important work is carried out to enhance the infrastructure of Wellington Main St.
