Porsche Unveils 2026 Macan GTS EV with 563 Horsepower and Rapid Acceleration

Porsche has officially launched the 2026 Macan GTS, an electric SUV that boasts a powerful dual-motor setup delivering an impressive 563 horsepower. This performance-oriented variant is designed to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, showcasing Porsche’s commitment to blending luxury with cutting-edge electric performance. Canadian pricing starts at $122,100, and initial deliveries are expected in the summer of 2026.

Performance Specifications and Features

The Macan GTS is equipped with a high-performance electric drivetrain that includes the most potent Turbo-derived rear-axle electric motor within the Macan Electric lineup. Under standard conditions, the system generates 509 horsepower, but this can be boosted to 563 horsepower and 704 lb-ft of torque when the Launch Control feature is activated. The vehicle’s top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, and it can reach 200 km/h in approximately 13.3 seconds.

Powering this model is a 100-kWh high-voltage battery that supports DC fast charging of up to 270 kW. Under optimal conditions, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. The inclusion of Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package, which features a Track Mode, enhances battery thermal management for sustained performance during rigorous driving.

Chassis and Handling Enhancements

The Macan GTS features a chassis engineered for high performance, incorporating Porsche Traction Management and a rear-mounted electronically controlled differential lock. Standard features include Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, which contributes to optimal handling dynamics. The vehicle has a rear-biased weight distribution of 48:52 and utilizes a sport air-suspension system that lowers the ride height by 10 mm. This setup, combined with Porsche Active Suspension Management and GTS-specific damper calibration, improves cornering stability and overall handling precision. An optional rear-axle steering feature is also available.

The GTS includes the Porsche Electric Sport Sound system, offering two distinct sound profiles tailored for the “Sport” and “Sport Plus” driving modes, enhancing the driving experience.

Design and Interior Features

Visually, the Macan GTS adopts distinctive styling elements typical of the GTS range, such as black trim, a prominent rear diffuser, and tinted Matrix LED headlights. The new Sport Design Package, debuting with this model, features updated front and rear aprons, exclusive side skirts, and contrast inserts painted in black. The vehicle comes standard with 21-inch Macan Design wheels, with the option to upgrade to 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels.

Porsche has introduced three new exterior color options: Carmine Red, Chalk, and Lugano Blue, alongside nearly 60 additional paint choices available through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample program.

Inside, the Macan GTS is equipped with an extended Race-Tex interior package complemented by smooth leather accents. Key areas such as the GT Sport steering wheel, dashboard, and armrests are covered with this premium material. The GTS Interior Package introduces coordinated accent colors, including Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue, which match the vehicle’s exterior color. Features like color-matched seat belts, decorative stitching, GTS seat embroidery, and carbon-fiber trim enhance the interior’s luxurious feel.

The digital cockpit reflects the GTS theme with unique graphics in the instrument cluster and a 3D rendering of the vehicle displayed in the selected exterior color on the central screen. The Sport Chrono Package also provides digital tools for performance tracking, including lap timers and telemetry tracking.

The 2026 Porsche Macan GTS EV is now available for orders in Canada, with first customer deliveries anticipated for mid-2026.
