Demi Lovato Celebrates New Album and Tour with Joyful Energy
Demi Lovato is set to embark on a vibrant new chapter in her music career with the release of her ninth studio album, titled “It’s Not That Deep.” This album, which features **11 energetic dance-pop tracks**, embodies a celebration of life’s complexities and joys. Lovato expressed her enthusiasm in a recent interview, stating, “I’ve put so much energy and so much love into this album. I just couldn’t be more excited.”
The **“It’s Not That Deep” Tour** is scheduled to begin on **April 8, 2024**, at the **Spectrum Center** in **Charlotte, North Carolina**. The tour will cover **23 cities** across North America, concluding on **May 25, 2024**, at the **Toyota Center** in **Houston, Texas**. Stops will include major cities such as **Orlando, Atlanta, Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles**. Tickets for the artist presale will be available starting **Thursday at 10 a.m. local time**, with general sales commencing the following day.
In her conversation with The Associated Press, Lovato reflected on her artistic evolution, embracing both her past and present. She noted the importance of “owning” her journey, saying, “I guess I didn’t realize that I’ve done iconic things. And if they are cringe to some people, they’re fun to me.” This perspective marks a significant shift for Lovato, who is now celebrating her growth and experiences.
The album’s title track, “Kiss,” illustrates this newfound freedom. Lovato acknowledges that while it may not be the most profound song, its fun and sexy vibe captures her current mindset. “Life is too short to take yourself too seriously, and I’m definitely not doing that anymore,” she remarked.
The themes of spontaneity and risk-taking permeate the album. Lovato noted that reaching her 30s has allowed her to let go of pressures that once constrained her creativity. “What it unlocks for me is spontaneity and taking risks and having fun,” she explained. This creative liberty is evident in tracks like “Sorry to Myself,” which blends upbeat energy with meaningful lyrics.
Throughout her career, Lovato has experimented with various musical genres, including pop, rock, and R&B. She explained that her transformations are driven by what inspires her at the moment. “I’m a fan of all genres of music pretty much,” she stated. Initially aiming for a heavier rock sound, she shifted to pop as she found herself in a positive and empowered place.
The excitement surrounding her upcoming tour is palpable. Lovato’s recent **One Night Only** event drew significant attention, with over **200,000 fans** queuing for tickets. “I cried when I saw that 200,000 people wanted to come to my show at the Palladium,” she shared. This overwhelming response reassured her of her artistic direction and the connection she has with her audience.
As Lovato prepares to take her new music on the road, she emphasizes her gratitude for her fans, acknowledging their role in her journey. “I wouldn’t be here in this place without them,” she said, reflecting on the supportive community she has built over the years.
With “It’s Not That Deep,” Demi Lovato not only celebrates her artistic achievements but also invites her audience to join her in embracing the joy and messiness of life. As the tour approaches, fans can expect an exhilarating experience filled with the vibrant energy that Lovato embodies.
