Two towns on Vancouver Island, Victoria and Tofino, have been recognized as among the top ten destinations to visit in Canada for 2026, according to a recent report by Tripadvisor. Victoria: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity

Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, secured the sixth spot on the Canadian list. Tripadvisor characterized the city as “still one of the most British cities in North America,” known for its high teas, antique shops, and beautiful gardens. “Busiest in summer, Tofino also fills up in winter when storm watchers descend upon this tiny town,” the report noted. The top destination in Canada for 2026 is Banff, Alberta, while Vancouver was ranked second, according to the same report from Tripadvisor. The rankings are determined by analyzing the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by travelers across various categories, including accommodations, dining options, and activities. Reviews collected between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, were used to compile this year’s list.
