Vote Now for Your Favorite Businesses in Castlegar’s 2026 Contest
The Castlegar News is inviting residents to participate in the 2026 Readers’ Choice Contest, celebrating the local businesses, individuals, and places that enhance the community’s vibrancy. The nomination period runs from March 2 to March 29, 2026, allowing participants to submit one entry per day in various categories.
During the nomination phase, community members can highlight their favorite local establishments. Each submission will be reviewed and manually approved, so participants should allow time for their nominations to appear. This contest aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of Castlegar’s businesses and individuals, fostering a sense of community pride.
Voting Process and Prize Opportunities
Following the nomination period, the voting stage will take place from April 13 to May 10, 2026. The top five finalists in each category, determined by the number of nominations received, will advance to this round. Community members will then have the opportunity to vote for their preferred nominees, ultimately deciding the winners.
In addition to the excitement of recognizing local favorites, participants have the chance to win cash prizes. A total of $100 will be awarded during the nomination period, with another $100 available during the voting phase. Each entry or vote serves as a potential opportunity for participants to win these prizes.
Promoting Your Business
Businesses interested in promoting themselves throughout the contest can explore various advertising packages designed to enhance visibility during this campaign. Those seeking more information about advertising opportunities can reach out to Etelka Mihaly at [email protected] or by calling 250-365-6397.
This contest not only encourages community involvement but also highlights the importance of local businesses in shaping the character of Castlegar. Residents are urged to participate actively and celebrate the establishments that make their community unique.
