Kishwaukee College to Welcome New Students at Discover Kish Event

Kishwaukee College is set to host its annual Discover Kish event on January 7, 2024, aimed at welcoming new students and their families. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college’s campus located at 21193 Malta Road, Malta.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with various resources during the resource fair, which runs concurrently with the event. Attendees can have their student ID photos taken, collect course materials and textbooks, and receive college-branded merchandise. Additionally, guided campus tours are scheduled for 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m..

Sandy Castillo Guzman, the outreach and enrollment coordinator at Kishwaukee College, expressed enthusiasm about the event. “Discover Kish is an exciting opportunity for new students to begin their college journey with confidence. Participants can tour campus, connect with faculty and staff, and complete important steps before classes begin. Our goal is to ensure every student feels prepared, informed, and genuinely welcomed into the Kishwaukee College community,” she stated in a recent news release.

Check-in for the event will occur in the college’s student center. Attendees are encouraged to park in lot A and enter through door 6. While registration is recommended, it is not mandatory.
