Lee County 4-H has announced an exciting new initiative called Project Pool, designed to introduce young people aged 5 to 18 to the diverse opportunities offered by the 4-H program. Scheduled for March 28, 2024, the event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Lee County Fairgrounds. This engaging event aims to foster an understanding of various educational activities through hands-on experiences.

Participants will have the chance to explore a range of topics, selecting one per time slot. Among the offerings are sessions on embroidery, cats, goats, alpacas, as well as plants and soils. This variety allows youths to discover new interests and develop skills in a supportive environment.

Registration for Project Pool is currently open and will close on March 20, 2024. Interested individuals can sign up through the official website at Go.illinois.edu/ProjectPool.

Katie Baker, the 4-H Program Coordinator, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “Project Pool is a wonderful chance for youth to dive into the world of 4-H and discover new interests and skills.”
