The annual Bundle of Joy campaign, organized by CTV Regina and Pure Country 92.7, successfully raised over $5,000 in 2025 to support vulnerable families with young children. The campaign culminated with a presentation of a giant cheque for $5,070 to Carmichael Outreach on Thursday morning at SUDS Full Service Car Wash in Regina, which has been a major sponsor of the event.

The Bundle of Joy campaign, which collects essential items such as diapers and baby wipes, relies heavily on the generosity of Regina’s citizens and local businesses. Donations were accepted at SUDS throughout the Christmas season, showcasing community spirit at its best. Kirby Kazeil, owner of SUDS, expressed gratitude for the support received. “We were happy to be involved, and it’s important to give back to the community. With the help of our customers too, that fully support the program,” Kazeil said. He extended his appreciation to all the customers who contributed to the campaign.

Community Impact and Ongoing Need

Janis Miller, fundraising coordinator for Carmichael Outreach, highlighted the significant impact of the program. “Having a new baby is a huge financial burden on a lot of families,” she noted. “The need is definitely great, especially with the rising cost of living. Families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads while trying to provide healthy groceries.”

The Bundle of Joy campaign began in 2016, marking this year as its tenth anniversary. The initiative aims to alleviate some of the financial pressures faced by families with infants and toddlers, ensuring that they have access to essential supplies during challenging times.

As the campaign continues to grow, organizers emphasize the importance of community involvement. Local businesses and residents are encouraged to participate in future initiatives to support families in need. The success of this year’s campaign is a testament to the compassion and commitment of the Regina community, demonstrating that collective efforts can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.

Looking ahead, the Bundle of Joy campaign aims to expand its reach and support even more families in the Regina area. With continued community support, the initiative holds the potential to further ease the financial burdens that many families face, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.
