Honor Unveils Powerful Win Series with Record 10,000mAh Battery
Honor has launched its latest mobile devices, the Honor Win and Win RT, in China, featuring a groundbreaking 10,000mAh battery designed to eliminate user concerns over battery life. Both models are equipped with high-performance specifications and innovative features that cater particularly to the gaming community.
The Honor Win series stands out due to its substantial battery capacity, achieved through the use of advanced third-generation silicon-carbon technology. Despite housing such a large battery, the devices maintain a sleek profile, measuring only 8.3mm thick. This combination of power and design sets a new standard for high-end mobile devices.
High-Performance Gaming Features
Designed with gamers in mind, the standard Honor Win incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the Win RT runs on the slightly less powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. To combat overheating during intense gaming sessions, both models are equipped with a physical active cooling fan. The Dongfeng Turbo Cooling system can reach speeds of up to 25,000 RPM in a dedicated “Rage Mode,” effectively reducing core temperatures by approximately 7°C. This feature aims to prevent performance drops due to excessive heat.
Users have various configuration options, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a generous 1TB of internal storage available, ensuring ample space for games and applications.
Impressive Display and Camera Capabilities
The visual experience on the Honor Win series is enhanced by a 6.83-inch OLED display featuring a resolution of 1.5K. While many high-end gaming phones offer refresh rates of 144Hz or 165Hz, Honor has pushed boundaries with a 185Hz refresh rate. To protect users’ eyes during late-night gaming, the display includes 5,920Hz PWM dimming, which significantly reduces flicker at lower brightness levels. Additionally, with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, the screen remains visible even in direct sunlight.
The camera capabilities are robust, featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. The standard Honor Win model also includes a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the Win RT opts for a dual-camera setup without the telephoto option.
In terms of durability, both models boast a triple-protection rating of IP68, IP69, and IP69K, making them resistant to water and capable of withstanding high-pressure, hot water jets—an impressive feature for any gaming device.
Charging and Pricing Details
Charging the 10,000mAh battery is expedited by 100W wired charging capabilities. The standard Honor Win also supports 80W wireless charging, positioning it among the fastest wireless charging options available today.
Currently, the Honor Win series is available in China, with pricing as follows: the Win RT starts at CNY 2,699 (approximately $385), while the Honor Win begins at CNY 3,999 (approximately $570) for the base 12GB/256GB model, scaling up to CNY 5,299 (approximately $755) for the 16GB/1TB version. Both models are available in Black, White, and Blue.
Though a global release has not yet been confirmed, the combination of a record-breaking battery and top-tier gaming specifications positions the Honor Win series as a noteworthy contender in the mobile device market.
