Law Enforcement Seizes $40 Million in Motorcycles Linked to Ryan Wedding
Law enforcement agencies have conducted a significant raid in Mexico, seizing motorcycles estimated to be worth approximately $40 million, linked to the alleged drug kingpin Ryan Wedding. This operation involved a collaborative effort between Mexican authorities, the FBI, the RCMP, and the Los Angeles Police Department, highlighting the ongoing international pursuit of Wedding, who is currently on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.
The raid, executed on December 29, 2025, resulted in the confiscation of a vast collection of motorcycles believed to be owned by Wedding. According to a post from the FBI’s Los Angeles division, the seized motorcycles represent a substantial financial asset in the context of the ongoing investigation into his alleged criminal activities. While the FBI has indicated that the motorcycles are “believed to be owned” by Wedding, questions arise regarding the traceability of the vehicles, given that many may lack official registration.
This recent seizure follows a previous operation in which authorities confiscated a rare Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster valued at around $13 million. The continuing saga of Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, has drawn attention due to the dramatic nature of the assets involved.
Details of the Operation
Mexican authorities executed multiple search warrants as part of this operation, resulting in the seizure of what investigators estimate to be around 60 motorcycles. The FBI’s valuation of the total seized property has raised eyebrows, as it suggests an average value of more than $666,000 per motorcycle. While some of the seized bikes belong to high-end brands like Ducati, the overall figure appears to be an overestimate, with skepticism surrounding the accuracy of such valuations.
Despite the impressive haul, the actual number of motorcycles seized may suggest a more modest total worth. The operation serves as a reminder of the complexities involved in tracking assets linked to criminal enterprises, especially when the ownership of such vehicles might be obscured by a lack of documentation.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to dismantle Wedding’s alleged drug trafficking operations. The ongoing pursuit of Wedding underscores the commitment of international law enforcement agencies to collaborate in addressing cross-border crime.
As the investigation continues, Wedding remains at large, and authorities are actively seeking information from the public to aid in his capture. The high-profile nature of this case, coupled with the significant financial implications of the seized assets, keeps it in the spotlight as 2026 approaches.
The collaborative nature of this operation illustrates the global reach of law enforcement in tackling organized crime. With resources pooled from multiple agencies, including the FBI and local Mexican authorities, the case highlights how international partnerships can be effective in addressing complex criminal networks.
As authorities work to bring Ryan Wedding to justice, the recent seizures may serve as a crucial step in unraveling a broader web of illicit activities tied to drug trafficking and financial crime.
