Second-Degree Murder Charge Filed in Maple Ridge Death
Charges have been laid nearly six years after the body of 24-year-old Edi Bogere was discovered in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. The Integrated Homicides Investigation Team reported that Bogere’s body was found on January 11, 2020, in a vacant forested area, and his death was classified as suspicious. Authorities have now arrested 31-year-old Alan Mohammed Taheri from Port Coquitlam in connection with the case.
Bogere was last seen leaving his home in Coquitlam on the evening of December 27, 2019. Following an extensive investigation, prosecutors approved charges against Taheri, which include one count of second-degree murder involving a firearm and one count of indignity to human remains.

Superintendent Mandeep Mooker, the officer in charge of the Integrated Homicides Investigation Team, emphasized the thoroughness of the investigation. In the statement, he noted that the case illustrates the meticulous work conducted by the team over the years.
