Two Armed Suspects Rob Man in Vehicle, Set Car Ablaze in Kingsville

The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an armed robbery that took place on Saturday night in Kingsville. At approximately 10:33 p.m., two individuals, armed with a handgun and an edged weapon, approached a man who was stopped in his vehicle on Road 5, east of Graham Side Road.

According to police reports, the suspects arrived in a dark-colored pick-up truck. They demanded cash and the victim’s debit card before fleeing the scene. In a troubling turn of events, the suspects set the victim’s vehicle on fire before escaping.

The OPP have indicated that this incident appears to be isolated, and there is currently no threat to public safety. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery or the vehicle fire.
