Fulton Masonic Lodge No. 189 will host a soup-and-sandwich supper on March 19, 2024, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brunch House Restaurant, located at 1901 Fourth St., Fulton. This all-you-can-eat event promises a hearty menu featuring potato soup, chili, chicken salad, and ham salad sandwiches, along with cookies, vanilla ice cream, and a selection of beverages. Carryout options will also be available for those who wish to enjoy their meal at home.

This fundraiser does not require advance ticket purchases; attendees can make donations at the door upon entry. Proceeds will support the maintenance of the Lodge building in downtown Fulton, as well as various charitable initiatives within the Fulton and Albany communities.

The biannual soup suppers organized by the Lodge have a history of benefiting local causes. In previous years, funds raised have contributed to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, facilitating trips for Whiteside County veterans to visit memorials in Washington, D.C. Furthermore, the Lodge has sponsored the entrance fees for the Fulton High School scholastic bowl team to compete in the Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl tournament.

In addition to educational support, the Lodge has made financial contributions to public libraries in both Fulton and Albany. Collaborating with the Merton Chapter No. 356 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Lodge has also provided school supplies to children at Fulton Elementary School and donated non-perishable food items to local food pantries, including the Albany Food Pantry and the Fulton/Thomson Food Pantry.

Most recently, the Lodge made a donation to the Fulton Community Relief Fund and once again covered the entry fee for the FHS scholastic bowl team.

This soup-and-sandwich supper not only promises a warm meal but also an opportunity for community members to come together, support local initiatives, and enjoy a gathering that has become a cherished tradition in Fulton.
