The new establishment, named **Fairmont Calgary**, will feature **225 rooms** and is designed to integrate into the city’s greater downtown area. While the exact location and number of storeys have not been disclosed, the hotel is anticipated to benefit from the ongoing transformation of Stampede Park, a key initiative aimed at revitalizing Calgary’s Culture and Entertainment District.

Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, expressed enthusiasm about the new project, stating, “We are honoured to play a role in this incredible new property at such a pivotal moment in Calgary’s development.” He emphasized that the addition of Fairmont Calgary will reinforce Fairmont’s leadership position in Western Canada and strengthen the brand’s long-term commitment to Calgary as a premier destination.

In addition to hotel accommodations, the mixed-use structure will include a spa, meeting spaces, and **100 luxury residences**. The project is being developed in partnership with Truman and is slated for completion in late **2031**. Fairmont has indicated that the regulatory approvals process and design plans will be initiated and unveiled in the coming months.
