Belmont University Recognizes Ellen Hodson on Fall 2025 Dean’s List
Ellen Hodson from Mt. Morris has been recognized for her academic achievements by being named to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Belmont University. She is among over half of the university’s undergraduate students who qualified for this honor during the semester. Approximately 55% of the 6,934 undergraduate students at the institution met the criteria for inclusion on the list.
The recognition is not only a testament to academic performance; it also highlights the collaborative spirit of the Belmont community. David Gregory, provost and executive vice president for academic excellence at Belmont University, remarked, “The high percentage of students earning dean’s list honors reflects more than academic excellence; it reflects who we are becoming together as a Belmont community.”
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum course load of 12 credit hours and achieve a quality grade-point average of at least 3.5, with no grades lower than a C. This standard underscores the commitment to academic rigor at Belmont University, encouraging students to strive for excellence in their studies.
Recognition on the dean’s list serves as an important milestone for students, reflecting their hard work and dedication. Hodson’s accomplishment adds her name to a distinguished group of scholars within the Belmont community, embodying the university’s values of excellence and collaboration.
