Discover Neolithic Cultures at DeKalb Women’s Center Presentation
The DeKalb Area Women’s Center is set to host an educational presentation titled “The Lost Goddess Cultures of Old Europe” on January 9, 2024. Scheduled from 17:30 to 18:30, this free event aims to provide adults with insights into the Neolithic societies of ancient Europe.
Located at 1021 State St., DeKalb, the presentation will explore the daily lives, innovations, art, and religious practices of these ancient civilizations. Led by Marilyn Hrymak, attendees will gain an understanding of how the cultural advancements of these communities influenced modern society and the reasons behind their eventual disappearance.
This engaging session will cover topics such as the significance of Goddess worship in Neolithic Europe and the unique contributions of these societies to art and technology. By examining the life and customs of the Neolithic peoples, participants will uncover the rich tapestry of history that shaped early European cultures.
