Guelph Students Enjoy Extended Family Day Weekend with School Closure
Students in Guelph and Wellington County will benefit from a three-day weekend due to the closure of schools for Ontario’s Family Day holiday. Both the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board will observe this holiday on February 16, 2025.
This closure allows families to spend quality time together and engage in activities designed for the holiday. To assist parents in planning, a comprehensive list of key dates for the 2025-26 school year has been made available by the respective school boards. Notably, both boards operate on identical academic calendars.
For families concerned about transportation during this period, Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Services provides local student transportation. This consortium serves the Upper Grand District School Board and the Wellington Catholic District School Board, ensuring students can travel safely. Additional information regarding transportation services can be found at their website, stwdsts.ca.
