Registration begins on Monday, February 2, 2024, at 9 a.m. for an engaging new program at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library in Sault Ste. Marie. The Baby Picasso initiative aims to introduce children aged six to twelve months to the enriching worlds of music, art, literacy, and sensory stimulation.

This program will run every Monday until March 2, 2024, with each session starting at 10 a.m. and lasting for 45 minutes. The library encourages parents and caregivers to participate actively, as a caregiver must accompany each child during the sessions.

To register, participants will need a library card, which can be obtained through the library’s website at ssmpl.ca. This initiative not only fosters early developmental skills in infants but also strengthens the bond between caregivers and their little ones.

The Baby Picasso program represents a commitment by the library to support early childhood development through accessible and interactive programming. Parents are encouraged to secure their spots early, as spaces may be limited.

By offering such programs, the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library continues to serve as a vital community resource for families in Sault Ste. Marie, promoting literacy and creativity from a young age.
