Community Mourns the Loss of Skilled Machinist Randy Faulkner

The passing of Randall (Randy) Faulkner on February 14, 2026, marks a profound loss for family, friends, and the community. Known for his kindness and quiet strength, he leaves behind children Chris Faulkner and Lori Ellis, as well as grandchildren Hailey and Hayden. His family is committed to preserving his legacy, which is characterized by his dedication to his craft and the joy he brought to those around him.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) Faulkner and Priscille Faulkner. He is also survived by his brother Dan and sister Cheryl, who will miss him dearly. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who loved him, but his impact will resonate through the memories shared.

Celebrating a Distinguished Career

A highly skilled machinist, Randy dedicated over 30 years to Boart Longyear, where his precision and strong work ethic garnered respect from both colleagues and management. He further honed his expertise at Atlas Copco for more than five years, continuing to uphold the same commitment to quality that defined his career. Randy was not just a machinist; he was a master of his trade, known for building, repairing, and perfecting countless components.

His mechanical knowledge was both respected and admired, making him a rare find in today’s workforce. Randy contributed significantly to the industry, and his legacy as a dedicated and skilled professional will influence future generations of machinists.

Honoring His Memory

Randy was also a proud member of the 406 Squadron RCAF Alliance, an organization that reflects his commitment to service and community. As a tribute to his life and contributions, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the 406 Squadron.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has already taken place. A celebration of Randy’s life is scheduled for March 22, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the 406 Squadron Hall, located at 406 1st Avenue West, North Bay, ON. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering a man whose life was defined by kindness, hard work, and a profound impact on those around him.
