Infinix Unveils Innovative NOTE 60 Ultra with Pininfarina Design
Infinix has launched its latest smartphone, the NOTE 60 Ultra, developed in collaboration with renowned Italian design firm Pininfarina. This innovative device aims to tackle the prevalent issue of bulky camera bumps by featuring a sleek, flush rear panel that seamlessly incorporates a triple-camera array, a hidden notification display, and a lighting strip.
The design, referred to as the Uni-Chassis Cam Module, borrows principles from sports car engineering, specifically the unibody monocoque philosophy. By utilizing a single continuous sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus, the NOTE 60 Ultra maintains an impressively thin profile of just 7.9mm, allowing all components to be concealed beneath an uninterrupted glass surface.
Distinctive Design and Advanced Photography Features
Pininfarina’s influence is evident not only in the design but also in the four available color options. The Torino Black features a Kevlar-weave texture, while Monza Red takes inspiration from the Daytona SP3 grille. Each colorway showcases unique material treatments, ensuring that the aesthetics remain intact from concept to production.
The photography capabilities of the NOTE 60 Ultra are anchored by a remarkable 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HPE main sensor. With a sensor area of 1/1.4 inches and an f/1.69 aperture, it captures high-resolution images that allow for extensive cropping while preserving sharpness. Accompanying this is a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN5 periscope telephoto lens, equipped with optical image stabilization and a native 3.5x optical zoom that can extend to 100x digitally.
Among its standout features is the Active Matrix Display, a dot-matrix LED panel that becomes visible through the glass when needed. This display can show notification alerts, time, weather updates, and even animated pixel pets. Importantly, it remains inactive when not in use, maintaining the sleek design.
Powerful Performance and Unique Connectivity
The NOTE 60 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, which operates on an all-big-core architecture. This setup ensures that all eight Arm Cortex-A725 cores perform at full capacity. Infinix has also integrated an optimization engine to manage CPU allocation effectively, enhancing overall performance.
With a substantial 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, the device offers impressive energy density without increasing thickness. It supports rapid charging, reaching full capacity in just 48 minutes via 100W wired charging. Additionally, a self-healing feature helps maintain battery health, recovering approximately 1% of battery capacity every 200 charge cycles. For added convenience, the phone also supports 50W wireless charging.
One of the most distinctive features of the NOTE 60 Ultra is its two-way satellite communication capability through Thuraya’s GEO satellite network, covering about 120 countries across Asia, Europe, and Africa. This functionality allows for voice calls and two-way SMS, providing critical connectivity for travelers in areas with limited terrestrial coverage.
The Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra represents a significant advancement in smartphone design and functionality, combining cutting-edge technology with a stylish aesthetic. By partnering with Pininfarina, Infinix has not only addressed common design challenges but has also elevated the user experience with innovative features that set it apart in a competitive market.
