Community Mourns the Passing of Marie Louise Brailean
The community is mourning the loss of Marie Louise Brailean, who passed away on December 26, 2025, at Richmond Hospital. Marie was known for her unwavering love as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her death marks a significant loss for those who knew her and were touched by her kindness.
Marie, born in Bergen Op Zoom, Netherlands, shared a fulfilling life with her husband, Dennis Brailean. Together, they nurtured a home that radiated warmth and laughter, providing a steadfast support system for their family. She was a dedicated mother to her sons, Chris Brailean and Kyle Brailean, who both carry forward her legacy of love and generosity.
Chris and his wife, Maryann Milligan, brought profound joy to Marie’s life with the birth of their son, Sean. Similarly, Kyle and his wife, Kerri Brailean, enriched her experience as a grandmother with the births of their son, Kade, and daughters, Piper and Hayden. Marie’s role as “Grandma and Oma” was one of her greatest joys, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, guiding them with love and warmth.
Celebrating a Life of Adventure and Kindness
Beyond her family, Marie was celebrated for her adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for nature. She often enjoyed hiking scenic trails and exploring new destinations, creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her love for the outdoors and her zest for life inspired many around her.
Marie will be remembered not only for her adventurous nature but also for her kind and nurturing spirit. Many recall her remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed and valued, brightening the lives of those she encountered. Her legacy is encapsulated in the love she shared with her family and friends, which will continue to resonate through generations.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for May 24, 2026, at the Anten Mills Community Centre, located at 3985 Horseshoe Valley Rd W, Minesing, Ontario. The event will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, allowing community members to come together, share memories, and honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many hearts.
Though Marie Louise Brailean will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she impacted with her love and kindness.
