ESR Launches 25W Qi2 Chargers to Combat Wireless Overheating
At CES 2026, ESR unveiled a range of new 25W Qi2 wireless chargers designed to address overheating issues associated with higher power delivery. These products highlight a growing trend in wireless charging technology, focusing on portability and efficiency, while aiming to deliver performance comparable to wired connections.
Innovative Charging Solutions for Modern Users
The standout product from ESR at the event was the MagSlim Power Bank. This power bank boasts a capacity of 10,000 mAh and measures just 13.8 mm thick, making it one of the slimmest options that supports the 25W Qi2 standard. ESR’s implementation of active cooling technology helps mitigate the excess heat generated during fast charging. This is particularly crucial given that faster charging methods typically produce more heat, which can adversely affect a device’s battery life.
Another notable product is the CryoBoost Foldable 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station. This device caters to users on the go, allowing simultaneous charging of a smartphone, a smartwatch, and earbuds. When not in use, it collapses to a compact size of just 15.8 mm, addressing the common issue of bulky charging stations that are cumbersome to transport.
Advanced Features for Everyday Convenience
For users seeking a more permanent charging solution, ESR introduced the CryoBoost 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station aimed at enhancing home or office setups. This station includes a detachable USB-C charger specifically for smartwatches, providing flexibility in charging options. Additionally, it features a unique “Sleep Mode,” which allows users to deactivate the internal cooling fan and indicator lights, ensuring a quiet and unobtrusive experience during the night.
ESR’s OmniLock Magnetic Car Charger extends the benefits of CryoBoost technology to vehicles. This charger includes an adjustable arm and a 360-degree rotating head, designed to keep smartphones away from a car’s air vents. This innovative design prevents a phone from overheating due to both its own heat generation from GPS use and the vehicle’s heating system while it charges. The charger also incorporates reinforced clamps and shock-absorbing pads, ensuring stability on uneven roads.
As of now, specific pricing and shipping dates for these products have not been disclosed. ESR is expected to announce further details soon, as interest in their new line of chargers continues to grow.
With these advancements, ESR aims to provide effective solutions for common problems faced by wireless charging users, reinforcing its commitment to quality and innovation in the tech space.
