Tragic Multi-Vehicle Crash in Laval Claims Life of Young Girl

A multi-vehicle collision in Laval, located north of Montreal, has resulted in the death of a six-year-old girl and left her five-month-old sister in critical condition. The accident occurred on the evening of September 25, 2023, around 19:30 on Route 335, near Dagenais Boulevard.

According to Laval police, Lt. Geneviève Major, the six-year-old was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the incident. Her infant sister was admitted in critical condition, and both parents were among the nine individuals transported to the hospital following the crash.

The accident involved four vehicles and was initiated when a northbound vehicle lost control and collided with three other cars in both the north and southbound lanes. Lt. Major confirmed that investigators have spoken with a 40-year-old man who was involved in the incident and is considered a key witness. He has been released under a promise to appear at a later date, as the Crown has requested additional information.
