Woman Assaulted and Robbed Following Online Meeting in Windsor
A woman was sexually assaulted and robbed in Windsor after arranging to meet a man online. The incident took place early on Monday, March 4, 2024, in the 3100 block of Howard Avenue. According to the Windsor Police Service, the woman entered the suspect’s vehicle, unaware that another man was also inside.
Upon getting into the car, both men attempted to touch her inappropriately. The police reported that the victim refused their advances and tried to call 911. At this point, one of the suspects allegedly choked her and stole her belongings before both men fled the scene.
Arrests Made Within Hours
Approximately two hours after the incident, local officers located the two suspects and took them into custody. A 23-year-old male has been charged with sexual assault, assault by choking, and robbery. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old male faces charges of sexual assault.
